We offer a supportive team culture, flexible work arrangements, and exposure to major renewable programs across Australia and New Zealand.The RoleAs aCivil Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering civil engineering designs and supporting multidisciplinary project delivery across renewable energy and network infrastructure projects.You will work closely with electrical, structural, and project delivery teams to ensure designs are safe, compliant, constructible, and aligned with SPD's quality and design control processes.Key ResponsibilitiesYou will be involved in:Preparing civil designs including earthworks, site grading, drainage, access roads, hardstands, trenching and substation/BESS civil worksUndertaking engineering calculations for earthworks, drainage, hydraulics, pavements and geotechnical interpretationCoordinating civil interfaces with electrical,



structural and transmission disciplinesApplying ISO ****‐aligned design control processes and maintaining design documentationParticipating in Safety in Design (SiD) workshops and supporting risk mitigation activitiesPreparing technical specifications, responding to RFIs and reviewing contractor submissionsSupporting construction activities through site inspections and technical reviewsEngaging with clients, Owner's Engineers, contractors and consultantsAbout YouMandatory:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering3–8+ years' experience in civil engineering designExperience in infrastructure, industrial or renewable energy projectsProficiency with Civil 3D, 12D or similar design toolsExperience in solar, wind, BESS, substation or transmission projectsExposure to EPC/EPCM or Owner's Engineer environmentsWorking towards Chartered status (CPEng)Technical StrengthsWe're looking for someone with experience in:Earthworks and drainage designCivil modelling and analysisGeotechnical and hydrological interpretationAustralian Standards and local authority requirementsMultidisciplinary coordination and design integrationWhat Success Looks LikeDelivery of accurate, compliant and constructible civil designsStrong coordination across engineering disciplinesReduction in RFIs and design reworkHigh‐quality deliverables aligned with project schedulesPositive feedback from clients and project stakeholdersLocationReady to Make an Impact?
