Custom Steel Fab has been awarded a major project in Townsville and is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead structural steel construction projects.
You will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, managing teams of 10 to 40+ boilermakers and construction personnel across multiple crews and work fronts, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Key responsibilitiesEnd-to-end project delivery with responsibility for safety, programme, cost, quality, and client outcomesFull project budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and financial management, including regular reporting of project costs, cost-to-complete forecasts, cash flow, and projected profit margins to the General ManagerMonitor project performance against budget and programme, proactively identifying risks and implementing corrective actions to protect profitability and successful project outcomesLead teams of 10 to 40+ boilermakers and construction personnel across multiple crews and work frontsConstruction planning and execution, including look-ahead planning, sequencing, and daily production targetsManage RFIs and revision control, ensuring all client design reviews, models, shop drawings, and IFC documentation are accurately tracked and implementedBuild and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication, reporting, and proactive risk managementManage the end-to-end engagement of suppliers and subcontractors, including procurement, tendering, negotiations, preparation and administration of subcontract agreements, contract management, performance management,
