We are committed to clinical excellence, innovation, and building environments where our people can perform at their best and grow meaningful careers.About the RoleThe Vet Team Manager plays a critical role in the operational success of AES Hawthorn East.
Reporting to the Hospital Director, you will lead people, operational and commercial initiatives that support exceptional patient care, client experience and hospital performance.Key responsibilitiesLead the performance, engagement, and development of the veterinary teamDrive a high-performance, values-led culture built on accountability and trustOversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to ensure capability and capacityLead and support team through coaching, development, feedback and performance conversationsManage and embed change initiatives and continuous improvement activitiesEnsure effective rostering, workforce sustainability,



and operational coverageSupport financial performance through labour cost management, efficiency, and reporting insightsPartner with clinical and operational leaders to optimise patient outcomes and service deliveryStrengthen collaboration across multi-disciplinary teamsDrive compliance with WHS, policies, and AEA standardsAbout YouWhile we are open minded to a range of transferrable skills and backgrounds, you will likely be a person who:Thrives in complexity and brings calm to chaosBalances empathy with accountabilityLoves leading people and helping them grow and succeed with confidence supporting HR processesYou will also bringPrior experience as a people leaderKnowledge and experience of vet services or other clinical services advantageous but not essentialEffective communication skills, with the ability to coach, motivate and supportAbility to thrive in providing exceptional client and patient experienceExpertise delivering multiple projects from concept to completionProficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and ExcelWhat We OfferRemuneration for this role is c.
