The OpportunityThe OpportunityAs a Health and Safety Specialist, you will support personnel across multiple sites in the Sydney metropolitan area and Illawarra.
You will be tasked with maintaining safety excellence and maximising company safety performance through audit, evaluation, engagement, training, investigation and continuous improvement.Reporting to the Head of Health & Safety Water, you will provide health and safety compliance advice to the operational management of our sites across our advanced water treatment Facilities in Sydney and Illawarra.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to join a high-performing People & Safety team with a hands-on, proactive approach to safety and compliance.What's on offerDiverse role where you can travel to multiple sitesFDO (Flexible Day Off) - option to compress work hours throughout your week!

Join our exciting Water business where you'll gain exposure to our extraordinary water treatment plantsWhat you'll be responsible forConduct inspections and audits in accordance with the internal audit scheduleAssist with third party auditsMonitor the compliance of operations against company objects and targets, along with client and legislative requirementsEngage with the Operational team in developing,
review and maintaining task based risk assessmentsConduct incident investigationsFacilitate periodic reviews of the site risk registerDeliver defined Health and Safety related training and other Health and Safety communicationsManage our risk management software for the allocated sitesWhat you'll need to be successfulFormal qualification or working to complete formal qualifications in Health and Safety or extensive industry experience in a similar position (minimum Diploma in WHS)Working knowledge and understanding of all relevant Health and Safety legislation including Chain of ResponsibilityValid Driver's LicenceGood stakeholder management skillsWhy Veolia?
