DescriptionAbout the roleWe are seeking an experienced Intermediate Hydraulic Engineer to join our busy and friendly Perth buildings team.
The successful candidate will have design consultancy experience and be able to apply their technical skills and demonstrate commitment in a way which ensures projects are thoroughly designed, reviewed and delivered on time.We are looking for someone that is able to work on a wide range of projects with an ability to manage workload on several projects at different stages of completion.Stantec has a strong culture of empowering individuals to take on greater responsibility and work to push their development.
The role will enable the successful applicant to develop in a qualified and personal sense and to forge a rewarding career path, in a successful global consulting organisation.Day to day tasks would involve:Support the design, planning and delivery of Hydraulic engineering assessment and calculations of a wide range of healthcare, commercial, data centres, retail, defence, industrial and educational building projects.Support Project Technical Leaders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to standard.Conduct Site inspections, monitoring installations, testing and commissioning of hydraulic systemsContribute to tender submissions and project reportingBring value to in-house design/project meetingsAdhere to Stantec skilled standards, ethics and Stantec quality proceduresTo be successful for this role you'll need:Be degree qualified in an engineering disciplineIdeally have 2 – 6 years previous building hydraulic design engineering experienceKnowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian StandardsWorking knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD or other similar industry softwareWillingness to establish and maintain client relationships to formulate repeat opportunitiesExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlinesPositive,
