Finance Manager - Property Funds | Sydney CBDA well established alternative property investment group has created a recent Finance Manager role to lead the group accounting function and act as 2IC to the CFO.This is a genuinely broad, hands on leadership role.
You'll sit close to the CFO and the wider leadership team, with direct exposure to the group's banking syndicate, institutional investors, and the strategic decisions that shape the business.
It's the kind of role that suits someone who wants more than a technical accounting seat: you'll be shaping how the finance function operates.Key Responsibilities:Treasury: managing banking relationships, funding activities, and covenant and compliance reporting, acting as a key point of contact for the banking syndicateMonth end reporting: overseeing reconciliations, reporting packs, and variance analysis, with a focus on accuracy and timelinessUnit pricing and valuations:
managing the unit pricing process and coordinating valuations with external valuers and internal stakeholdersBudgeting and forecasting: owning cost centre reporting, budget cycles, and variance tracking, and presenting this back to senior stakeholdersExternal investor reporting: preparing and coordinating reporting to institutional investors, ensuring the group meets its funding and disclosure obligationsTeam leadership: reviewing the work of a small finance team, providing day to day guidance and quality control, and developing their capability as the team growsProcess improvement: identifying and implementing improvements across finance systems and processesKey Requirements:CA or CPA qualified Senior Accountant with leadership experienceExtensive exposure to the property funds sector, ideally within a REIT or property fundBig 4 audit background will be well regarded
