We are seeking an experienced and collaborative HR Advisor to join our Human Resources team.Reporting to the Head of Human Resources, this is a key advisory role that provides expert guidance across employee relations, industrial relations, workplace investigations, policy development, WHS, workers compensation, and compliance matters.
You will partner closely with leaders across the School to support a positive, high-performing workplace culture while ensuring compliance with employment legislation, Awards, and Enterprise Agreements.About the roleAs HR Advisor, you will:Provide specialist advice on employee and industrial relations matters.Support leaders with performance management, conduct concerns, grievances, and workplace investigations.Develop, review, and implement HR policies, procedures, and training initiatives.Manage WHS and workers compensation matters.Assist with compliance audits, reporting, and HR projects.Contribute to staff wellbeing initiatives and continuous improvement of HR practices.Support operational HR activities across the School.About youYou will bring:Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources advisory role.Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Awards, Enterprise Agreements, and employment legislation.Experience managing employee relations matters, investigations, terminations,



and workplace compliance.Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills.A collaborative and service-oriented approach, with the ability to work confidently with stakeholders at all levels.Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.Experience within an independent school or education environment will be highly regarded.MLC School offers a supportive and values-driven setting where staff are encouraged to grow, collaborate, and make a meaningful contribution to the life of the School.
