To help usachieve this we are seeking anexperienced Coordinator Library Services to join our team.
Reporting to the Manager Customer Service & Libraries,the Coordinator Library Services leads and coordinates the delivery ofspecialist library services across our branches, outreach settings and mobileservices.
A key focus of this role is providing strong people leadership to a diverse team.
Working closely with the Coordinator BranchLibraries, you will play an important role in ensuring our Library service isconnected, collaborative and responsive to changing community needs.
You will lead a team responsible for a diverserange of services, including library programs and events, children's and youthservices, outreach activities, digital services and technology initiatives.
Youwill also build partnerships with community organisations, education providersand other stakeholders to extend the reach and impact of our Library service.
Success in this role requires a leader who canbalance people management, operational service delivery and strategic thinking.You will be comfortable leading across multiple service locations, developingteam capability, managing performance and driving continuous improvement, whileensuring services remain responsive to the changing needs of our communities.
We are looking for someone who can balanceday-to-day service delivery with thinking about what comes next for ourlibraries and the communities they serve.
This position maybe required to work across multiple library branches and service locations tosupport operational requirements.
The role operates within a 35-hour rosterthat may be scheduled across Monday to Sunday in accordance with the applicableAward and includes the requirement to participate in Saturday rostering.
To succeed in this role you will have:
Degree qualifications inLibrary and Information Studies or a related field, with eligibility forprofessional membership of the Australian Library and InformationAssociation (ALIA).
Significant experienceworking as a librarian, including experience delivering programs orevents.
A current Working withChildren Check (WWCC).




Strong people leadershipskills and the ability to build positive, collaborative workingrelationships.
A community-focusedapproach and an interest in developing library services that areaccessible, inclusive, and responsive.
The ability tocoordinate competing priorities, people and resources while maintaininghigh-quality service delivery.
An interest ininnovation, emerging technology, and contemporary library practice.
A Drivers licence
On a typical day this role will:
Lead, coach and supportthe Library Services team.
Coordinate libraryprograms, events, outreach, digital services, technology initiatives and
children's and youth service functions.
Work collaborativelywith the Coordinator Branch Libraries and Manager Customer Service &
Libraries to coordinate service delivery across the library network.
Plan and coordinatestaffing, rosters, leave and workloads to maintain service continuity.
Work with communityorganisations, education providers and stakeholders to develop
partnerships and opportunities.
Review customerfeedback, service performance and program outcomes to identify
opportunities for improvement.
Support the developmentand implementation of recent services, technology, and contemporary library
practices.
Contribute to broaderLibrary planning and help shape the future direction of the service.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours perweek
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting in the range of $101,015 to $113,067 depending on skills and experience
