A well established construction business is seeking an experienced Oracle Developer / Analyst to support and evolve its core business systems.
This is a hands on role combining application support, enhancement development, business analysis and stakeholder engagement.The position has been created as part of a long term succession plan, with the current incumbent gradually transitioning out of the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising Melbourne based systems, leveraging learnings from the company's more advanced Perth operations and will ultimately become the primary IT systems resource for the Melbourne business.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport and maintain Oracle Forms based business applicationsGather requirements directly from business stakeholdersDesign, develop, test and deploy system enhancements and customisationsDevelop and support Oracle Forms, Reports,
SQL and PL/SQL solutionsAssist with the upcoming Oracle APEX implementation and future development roadmapIntegrate Oracle applications with external systems and web servicesDeliver software solutions from high level business requirements with minimal formal UAT processesEssential Skills & ExperienceOracle Forms & Reports 10g or aboveOracle Database 10g+ or aboveStrong SQL and PL/SQL development skillsAPEX Version 18+ preferred (minimum experience Version 5+)Experience consuming web services from Oracle environmentsDOS batch scriptingApplication integration experienceRapid application development methodologiesNice to HaveExposure to accounting or finance systemsAccounting knowledge / experienceExperience supporting business-critical ERP or operational systemsCandidates with experience in the construction industry will be viewed very favourably.
