As we are a major local employer, our staff are a part of our local communities.Our OfferRenumeration –VMO Click Here to view ratesCorporate Health and Fitness programMBBS or equivalent, currently registered as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia.Applicants must have Fellowship of a recognised Australasian Specialist College or recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia and/or practiced in the medical profession for at least 10 years as the holder of General Registration and be in a General Practice training fellowship pathway.NSW Working with Children's CheckNational Police CheckCompliance with NSW Health OASV PolicyClass C Driver's License -the ability to travel up to 5 hours a day as requireProvide senior clinical leadership to colleagues, patients, and key stakeholders • Deliver high-quality person-centred end of life care to patients seeking access to VAD, and compassionate support to the patient's family and carers.Fulfil the role of Coordinating, Consulting and/or Administering Practitioner for patients that request Voluntary Assisted Dying.Work collaboratively with colleagues across SNSWLHD including Managers, Medical, Nursing and Allied Health.Work collaboratively with colleagues in primary and private healthcare settings.Comply with the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Act *****) legislation and relevant NSW health policy, guidelines, and procedures.Maintain mandatory education and training requirements relevant to Voluntary Assisted Dying as determined by the Ministry of Health.Travel within SNSWLHD to provide VAD services to people requesting access, supporting private entities, Residential Aged Care Facilities, Disability services as required in their management of VAD casesSelection CriteriaFor Coordinating and Consulting Practitioner Roles: currently registered as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia or practiced in the medical profession for at least 10 years as the holder of General Registration.For Administering Practitioner Roles: currently registered as a specialist or practiced in the medical profession for at least 5 years as the holder of General Registration or be an overseas trained specialist with provisional or limited registration.Consistently demonstrates behaviors that reinforce the CORE Values of NSW Health, Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment.
Demonstrates these behaviors with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.Demonstrated strong communication and teamwork skills as they apply to clinical care and clinical decision making for the provision of VAD services.Sound knowledge of and commitment to clinical quality and patient safety, work health and safety,



working within NSW Health Policy and current clinical practice guidelines.Demonstrated strong understanding of the NSW Voluntary Assisted Dying Act ****.Demonstrated commitment to continuing self-education and professional development, including evidence of participation in continuing medical education and continuing professional development.A: Completed or will complete upon appointment VAD Authorised Practitioner mandatory training.

Demonstrates a willingness to travel within SNSWLHD to provide VAD services to people requesting VADOccupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific DiseasesThis is a Category 'A' position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directivePD****_015.
All current employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy.
