The Junior Business Analyst supports Senior Business Analysts and Project Managers with business analysis and project delivery activities for State ODS Program initiatives and applications commissioned by NSW Health.
The role contributes to requirements gathering, process mapping, data and workflow analysis, solution design, testing,



implementation support and stakeholder adoption for enterprise solutions that use the State Operational Data Store.
The Health Manager level 2 starting salary is from $118,821 - $140,201 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 38-hour work week.What you will doSupport business analysis activities across the State ODS Program, including discovery, requirements elicitation, current-state and future-state process mapping, user story development, backlog refinement, testing, implementation support and continuous improvement.Develop and maintain clear documentation including business requirements, functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, solution designs, data requirements, test material, reports and stakeholder summaries.Coordinate and support stakeholder engagement to gather, validate and prioritise requirements, business rules, workflow improvements and operational needs across product, technical, testing, change and implementation teams.Assess and elevate risks, issues and dependencies relating to requirements, data quality, privacy, cyber security, governance obligations, AI usage and delivery outcomes.Support delivery management activities including planning, action tracking, estimation, reporting, testing coordination, release readiness, adoption monitoring and continuous improvement of BA and project delivery practices.About youBusiness analysis, project support or digital delivery experience (> 2 years) supporting stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, process analysis, solution implementation and delivery outcomes in technology-enabled programs.Software development lifecycle experience (> 2 years) supporting discovery, requirements elicitation, user story development, backlog refinement, testing, release planning,



implementation support and continuous improvement.Requirements and documentation experience (> 1 year) eliciting, documenting and managing business, functional and non-functional requirements, and translating stakeholder needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, business rules and solution designs.Contemporary documentation and digital tool capability using platforms such as Confluence, GitHub, Azure DevOps Wiki, Markdown or similar, and Microsoft technologies including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint and Azure DevOps.Data, AI and governance awareness with practical understanding of data quality, reporting, analytics, workflow automation, responsible AI principles, privacy, cyber security and governance requirements in a health environment.Our Commitment to Diversity and InclusionAt the NSW Health we are committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and flexible environment which reflects the community and customers we serve.
