Our practice has a large and supportive clinical team providing a broad range of general and advanced dental treatments.
We are looking for a qualified, experienced and motivated Dental Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis.
The RoleWorking closely with our dentists and other members of the clinical team, you will assist with the delivery of high-quality dental care and help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of our surgeries.
This is a hands-on clinical role suited to someone who enjoys working as part of a busy, supportive dental team.
Key Responsibilities
Chairside assisting dentists during examinations and dental procedures
Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, materials and equipment for procedures
Cleaning, sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection-control requirements
Maintaining appropriate infection prevention and control procedures
Assisting with dental radiography and clinical procedures where appropriately trained and permitted
Supporting patients before, during and following dental treatment
Maintaining accurate clinical and patient records




Maintaining stock levels and preparing clinical supplies
Cleaning and maintaining dental surgeries and clinical areas
Assisting the dental team with the effective flow of patients throughout the practice
Working collaboratively with dentists, dental assistants, oral health professionals and administrative staff

RequirementsThe successful applicant will:
Have previous experience working as a Dental Assistant
Have sound knowledge of dental infection control and sterilisation procedures
Have experience providing chairside assistance during dental procedures
Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
Be reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team
Demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Hold a relevant Dental Assisting qualification, including a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Dental Assisting, or an equivalent relevant qualification
