About the schoolThe School of Health Sciences offers an extensive range of quality accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs designed to engage students from learning opportunities in class through to professional workplace experience.
About the roleThe School of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to join the Occupational Therapy program at our Fremantle campus.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for the establishment, maintenance and coordination of a high-quality clinical education stream within the OT program and delivery of Occupational Therapy courses within the Program.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver substantial course components,
drawing on high levels of professional and discipline-specific expertise, scholarship, and relevant research-informed teaching practices.
Contribute to the development of engaging, relevant, and technology-enhanced curricula, while supporting collaborative projects that advance discipline-based teaching practices.
Provide academic counselling, mentoring, and advice to students, and undertake course coordination responsibilities with effective management of associated resources.
Lead and support teaching team members, fostering high-quality teaching and learning outcomes across the discipline.
Actively promote the discipline within the University and broader community through community engagement and professional contributions.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in teaching practice through professional development, scholarship of teaching and learning, and completion of programs that enhance teaching capability.
Qualifications, skills & experience
Relevant qualifications and/or professional experience recognised by the institution as appropriate for the discipline area.
Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA as an OT.
A doctoral degree or equivalent accreditation and standing appropriate to the relevant discipline area (desirable).
Demonstrated experience in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate level or higher in medical, health or professional practice-based education settings.
Significant clinical experience and knowledge/network within the clinical education domain.
