We deliver high-quality, person-centred supports across the Northern Territory and Western Australia and take pride in fostering a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for both our participants and our team.About the RoleWe are urgently hiring Support Worker positions available for Supported Independent Living and community Access around Darwin and Palmerston regions.Main Duties / Responsibilities:Duties will vary according to the participant's support plan but may include:Assisting people to perform important daily activities including home supportFacilitating daily personal hygiene and dressing tasksImplementing de-escalation techniques for preventing and defusing behaviours of concernAssisting, supporting,



and chaperoning outside the home environment which may include transportation of your client.Assisting with medication compliance which will include dispensation of prescription medication.implementing strategies for preventing and managing difficult behavioursImplementing positive approaches, clear, inclusive, and respectful communication.About YouEssential:At least a certificate III in Disability, Individual Support, Personal Care, Social Work or other relevant qualificationAt least 1 year of work experience in a residential care and/or community access settingCompletion of NDIS mandatory orientation moduleKnowledge of trauma and its effects on the development and behaviours of peopleStrong computer literacy including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
