About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for carrying out fabrication, repair and maintenance activities on a range of heavy earthmoving and mining equipment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out fabrication, repairs and maintenance to heavy mining and earthmoving equipment
Assisting with the proactive identification of repair and maintenance requirements
Performing scheduled preventative and routine maintenance
Completing structural repairs, modifications and general fabrication work to a high standard
Working safely and efficiently to minimise equipment downtime
Following all relevant safety procedures, risk assessments, SOPs, work instructions and permit requirements
Maintaining a safe, clean and organised workshop environment
Ensuring all work is completed to the required standard and within agreed timeframes
Working collaboratively with the maintenance and workshop teams
Actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Australian Trade Qualification as a Boilermaker
Previous experience working with heavy earthmoving or mining equipment
Experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment
Experience with fabrication and structural repairs
Highly desirable experience repairing and maintaining:
Excavator and loader buckets
Heavy equipment bodies and chassis
Dozer blades, including re-skinning
Other large-scale mining and earthmoving equipment
Current Australian Driver's Licence
HR Licence desirable
Working at Heights certification desirable
Confined Space certification desirable
EWP, Forklift and Dogging/Rigging tickets highly desirable
Strong commitment to health, safety, quality and the environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team
A proactive approach with a strong focus on quality workmanship
