About the Role
The HR Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Executive Officer to ensure effective day‐to‐day delivery of human resources processes at the school.
The role focuses on HR administration, compliance monitoring and staff lifecycle processes.
This is a hands‐on, process‐driven role and does not hold decision‐making authority in relation to employment, industrial relations or performance management matters.
The role is working 3 days a week, 8am to 4pm working Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Responsibilities
Recruitment Administration
Support approved recruitment processes by preparing recruitment documentation and correspondence.
Coordinate advertising, application management and interview scheduling.
Onboarding and Employment Administration
Prepare change of FTE letters using approved templates.
Facilitate onboarding and induction processes for new employees.
Maintain accurate personnel files and employment records.
Track probation review dates and notify relevant leaders of upcoming milestones.
HR Compliance and Registers




Maintain HR compliance registers, including Working With Children Checks, TRBWA registration, National Police Clearances.
Monitor expiry dates and follow up staff for updated documentation.
Escalate non‐compliance or concerns to the Executive Officer.
Payroll and Employment Support
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding.
Act as a point of contact for routine employment queries, escalating complex matters to the Executive Officer as required.
Staff Enquiries and HR Administration
Respond to routine staff enquiries regarding entitlements, leave, policies and procedures.
Provide staff with HR forms, guidance and approved information.
Maintain HR templates, forms and shared resources.
Reporting and Data Support
Maintain workforce data including FTEs, contract types and employment status.
Prepare draft HR reports and data summaries for review.
Assist with data collation for Council, leadership and compliance reporting.
Policy and Document Maintenance
Maintain version control of HR policies, procedures and staff handbooks.
Update and publish approved policy changes.
Support maintenance of induction and HR reference materials.
Skills and Attributes
Be supportive of the Anglican Identity of the School.
Solid organisational and administrative skills.
High attention to detail and confidentiality.




Ability to manage competing priorities within limited time allocation.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in HR administration, preferably in a school.
You will have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
Be reliable, enthusiastic, and conscientious.
Current Working with Children Check.
A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check current to within 6 month prior to commencement of employment at St Mark's.
