Project Manager - Steel Construction
Full Job Description
You will take ownership of end-to-end steel construction project delivery across active sites, managing safety, schedule, cost, quality and production.
You will lead multiple crews and work fronts, ensuring projects are planned effectively and delivered safely and to the required standard.
You will coordinate labour, materials, equipment, cranes, access and permits while maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders.
Based in Townsville, you will have the opportunity to work locally depending on project requirements and fit.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be expected to make decisions under pressure, maintain high standards and keep production moving without compromising safety or quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead 5-40 boilermakers and construction personnel across multiple crews
- Manage end-to-end project delivery across active construction sites
- Develop lookaheads, sequencing plans and daily production targets
- Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, cranes, access and permits
- Manage client relationships, reporting and proactive risk management
- Drive safety, quality, productivity and cost performance
- Build a culture of accountability, performance and respect
About you
- Proven Project Manager experience across construction-site projects




- Demonstrated capability leading large crews in live site environments
- Strong leadership, communication and decision-making capability
- A proactive safety mindset, with the ability to lead safety from the front
- Proven record of delivering projects with measurable outcomes
- Robust planning, coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Professional references and a track record that can be verified
