About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Governance & Assurance Manager to support a high-performing CISO office. This is a hands-on contract role where you will play a key part in strengthening cybersecurity governance, driving risk management activities, and ensuring compliance across a complex enterprise workplace.

Working closely with the CISO, you will provide critical governance oversight, lead assurance activities, and support ongoing cyber initiatives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity Governance & Risk

- Provide governance input into cybersecurity initiatives, projects, and operational activities
- Lead the preparation of governance papers, briefings, and executive updates in line with CISO direction
- Follow up and drive actions from recent NIST assessments
- Manage and resolve ServiceNow cyber governance queue tickets
- Maintain and enhance enterprise and ICT cybersecurity risk registers
- Review and update cybersecurity policies, risk statements, controls, and treatment plans
- Support day-to-day governance activities within the CISO Office
- Prepare reporting for Audit & Risk Committees
- Oversee vulnerability management processes and reporting




- Update and develop Information Security Directives

Assurance, Audit & Compliance

- Coordinate and support internal and external cybersecurity audits
- Track audit findings, remediation actions, and overall progress
- Collect and maintain assurance artefacts to evidence control effectiveness
- Lead control attestation and compliance reporting activities

Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement

- Develop and maintain cybersecurity governance reporting and dashboards
- Provide ongoing governance advice to internal stakeholders across IT and business units
- Collaborate with cyber delivery, architecture, and risk teams to ensure alignment and effective outcomes

About You

- Proven experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and assurance roles
- Strong understanding of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or equivalent
- Experience supporting CISO-level reporting and governance forums
- Strong background in audit, compliance, and control assurance
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience with tools such as ServiceNow (or similar GRC platforms) highly regarded
