Financial Accountant

Location : Sydney CBD
Rate: $500-550 per day + 14% super
Contract: 6 months

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented finance professional to support their team in a 6 month contract during a critical year-end reporting period. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant with a background in audit and group consolidations to step into a high-impact role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the year-end close process, including preparation of consolidated financial statements
- Perform group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments
- Liaise directly with external auditors and manage audit queries and requests
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting in line with group requirements
- Provide analytical support and ensure high levels of data accuracy and integrity
- Work autonomously in a fast-paced setting with minimal onboarding

Skills & Experience:

- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in financial accounting or reporting roles




- Previous audit experience or Big 4 / mid-tier audit background highly regarded
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability
- Proven experience managing year-end reporting and audit processes
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise workload effectively
- Project management experience is advantageous
- Available immediately or within 1 week.
