We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced AI Business Analyst to join our Digital team in a full-time permanent position.
As an experienced AI Business Analyst, you will work closely with stakeholders across AFG, to elicit business requirements and influence solutions that drive business value and deliver strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Participate in discovery sessions to identify and define business problems, assess AI suitability and readiness, define scope, and prioritise opportunities based on desirability, feasibility, and business value.
Facilitate workshops, interviews and focus group sessions with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to elicit business, UX and technical requirements.
Identify, assess, and prioritise use cases that deliver customer, business, and operational value.
Establish traceability to outcomes, customer journeys, and value streams.
Collaborate with engineers, developers, and AI tools to define requirements for AI models, workflows, and agent behaviour, including goals, inputs, outputs, confidence thresholds, fallback logic, and explainability needs.
Create, own and maintain various forms of requirements documentation and articulate requirements in the form of epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support product deliverables.
Design/specify human in the loop processes, monitoring, supervision, and governance processes.
Validate that AI model outputs meet business intent, test against real-world scenarios, not just technical specifications.
Participate in defining evaluation criteria based in real end-to-end scenarios and acceptance ranges.
Identify AI specific risks including bias, hallucination, explainability, data quality, privacy,



regulatory compliance, and unintended consequences.
Collaborate closely with engineers, data engineers, and platform teams to transition validated prototypes into production ready AI solutions.
Cultivate collaborative relationships with stakeholders and subject matter experts, engaging in negotiations to align and manage expectations around AI outcomes.
Who We're Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated AI business analyst, who thrives on the challenge of innovation and working in a fast-paced environment.
This role is for an intermediate to senior-level business analyst, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
You will also have:
Previous experience in home loans, mortgage broking, or financial services.
Experience in Business Analysis, Product, Consulting or Delivery roles, ideally within data, digital or AI- enabled environments
Hands-on experience developing and validating prototypes using Generative AI platforms and data-driven technologies.
Working knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts including LLMs, prompt engineering, and automation workflows.
Sound understanding of responsible AI principles and the risk considerations they raise.
Experience supporting AI solution adoption, including stakeholder engagement, feedback loops, and continuous improvement.
Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills,



with the confidence to present to and influence executive, business, and technical audiences.
Strong written communication skills, with experience producing clear, well-structured requirements documentation.
Experience with process mapping, gap analysis, and current and future state analysis.
Demonstrated experience working across different delivery methodologies, with a strong understanding of Agile ways of working.
