The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Field Technician to install, replace, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic equipment at customer locations.
Based at our Adelaide depot in Torrensville, this role services customers throughout Adelaide and surrounding areas, with regular travel to locations across South Australia including some regional area.
This is a field-based role involving significant daily driving between customer sites.
A fully maintained company vehicle, tools, and equipment are provided.
This role is ideal for someone with:
Basic computer repair or IT experience
Experience working with hardware, cables, and electronic equipment
A willingness to learn and develop technical skills
A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving
Training and support will be provided to help you build your skills and confidence in the field.
Key Responsibilities
Installing, replacing,



and maintaining EFTPOS terminals, POS systems, pin pads, PCs, peripherals, scanner scales, and networking equipment
Attending customer sites to diagnose faults and complete repairs
Providing professional and friendly customer service while resolving technical issues
Completing equipment installations, upgrades, and replacements accurately and efficiently
Managing assigned jobs from start to finish and ensuring work is completed to a high standard
Maintaining accurate boot stock records and handling parts and equipment responsibly
Travelling regularly between customer locations as part of daily field operations
Requirements
Essential:
Robust communication and customer service skills
Basic computer hardware and software knowledge
Some experience with PC repairs, installations, or technical troubleshooting
A willingness to learn new technologies and develop technical skills
Valid Australian driver's licence
Ability to pass a medical and police check
Desirable:
Experience in fault diagnosis and PC hardware repairs
Experience installing EFTPOS, POS, networking, or electronic equipment
NMI Certification (6.2 Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments)
