You'll be joining a flourishing transport & logistics organisation, offering customised freight forwarding, warehousing, and supply chain solutions across Australia and internationally.As part of their growing team, we are seeking a skilled and commercially minded Management Accountant to join the finance function.
This permanent full-time position is based in a well-established industrial suburb of Perth.
Your expertise will help steer financial discipline, operational performance, and strategic decision-making across business units.Key Responsibilities:Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, including profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports across multiple business units.Conduct variance analysis, build financial models, and provide explicit, actionable insights to support business decisions.Maintain the general ledger, oversee accounts payable and receivable, process expense claims, and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.Partner with operational teams to support effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across the organisation.Assist with tax reporting (e.g. BAS, PAYG, FBT, payroll tax)



and provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and reporting systems, including enhancing ERP usage (e.g. Xero, Dynamics BC, MEX).
Deliver financial insights and support for cross-functional initiatives and business cases as required.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related fieldProfessional accounting accreditation (CPA, CA or equivalent) preferredMinimum 5 years' experience in management accounting roles, ideally within transport, logistics or freight forwarding sectorsStrong proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Xero, MEX); Power BI experience is advantageousExceptional analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skillsHighly structured, proactive, detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressureWhy this role?
