The Position Assist with the monitoring, operation, maintenance and optimisation AlburyCity's water and wastewater treatment plants, including pumping stations and service reservoirs in accordance with all relevant regulatory and compliance standards including NSW EPA and DPI-Water discharge license.
Tasks and responsibilities
Provide assistance in the operation and maintenance treatment facilities as directed, including taking corrective action in response to test results and operating issues.
Assist with routine plant inspection and undertake maintenance activities as required to maintain operating reliability of the treatment facilities.
Assist with routine maintenance activities associated with the facilities' grounds and buildings.
Use, handle and store chemicals in accordance with relevant WH&S;, and AlburyCity requirements and ensure that chemical dosing is undertaken in an efficient and effective manner to meet plant processes and effluent quality requirements.
Qualifications and experience
Completion of Year 10 or equivalent
Provisional Licence or Class C (standard) Driver's Licence (compulsory to maintain)
General interest in water treatment and quality
Understanding of safe work practices
Fundamental literacy skills in receiving and executing instructions
Hours Based on a 38 hour week, with hours of work in accordance with the facility roster.
This roster may be altered in order to meet changing operational needs and service demands.
