About the role - 2 Positions available
As a Intermediate Accountant, you will work closely with our Directors and Associate Directors and will be key in delivering high quality services to our clients.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for a wide and diverse range of clients and entity types.
Assist with tax planning and advisory projects for clients (Support will be provided).
Prepare accurate and high-quality communication to clients.
Provide advice in relation to various tax matters including GST, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax.
Prepare and review quarterly and/or monthly activity statements.
Prepare other statutory returns including Fringe Benefits Tax,
Payroll Tax and Single Touch Payroll.
Identify and research various tax and accounting issues.
Mentor junior staff and support colleagues to share information and knowledge.
Communicate effectively with clients and liaise with ATO and other government bodies.
About you
3+ years' experience in Public Practice.
CA/CPA or working toward CA/CPA with a valuable academic record.
Strong communication skills.
Experience dealing directly with clients.
Experience mentoring junior staff.
Experienced in using Xero Tax.
