Our team at Heritage Dental Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis at our Indooroopilly, QLD practice.
This is a pivotal role that supports our dental professionals in delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining the smooth operation of our clinic.
As a Dental Assistant, you will be instrumental in creating a welcoming environment for our patients whilst ensuring clinical efficiency and upholding the highest standards of dental practice.What you'll be doingAssisting dentists during clinical procedures, including chairside support and instrument preparationPreparing treatment rooms, sterilising instruments and maintaining infection control protocols in accordance with regulatory standardsRecording patient information, updating clinical records and managing appointment schedulesGreeting patients, explaining procedures and helping them feel comfortable throughout their visitAssisting with patient education regarding oral hygiene practices and post-treatment careSupporting the dental team with administrative tasks and general clinic operationsMaintaining confidentiality and adhering to privacy and data protection regulationsWhat we're looking forCompletion of a recognised Dental Assistant qualification or equivalent training programme (or willingness to obtain)knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials and clinical proceduresExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for patient careAbility to work effectively within a team setting and take direction from senior clinical staffAttention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisationOrganisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environmentProfessional demeanour and a friendly, welcoming approach to patient interactionCurrent First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)Experience in a dental practice setting,
