Clayton Douglas Racing are currently seeking highly experienced and capable staff to join our team.
Position is full-time and available in Mornington VIC.Horse Trainer/RiderDuties will include:Able to ride 6 -10 horses per morning (with particular emphasis on riding pace/timed work and jump outs)Ability to train and educate young stock and ride timed workDaily management and education of horses for racingThe salary will be above award – in the range of $75,000 to $77,000 per annum depending upon the level of responsibility.All applicants must have a minimum of 3-years full time professional experience in the role, or at least 2 years full time highly relevant experience and a relevant qualification.In addition,



the following will be required:Knowledge and experience of horse training and handling methods specific to thoroughbred breeding and yearlings and racingKnowledge, skills and experience of stable management and preparation of horses for breeding and saleProven ability to train and educate young horsesOral and written communication skills of a level to take instruction and provide informationProven ability to manage a small teamKnowledge of safe operation of all equipment and use of personal protective equipmentSound knowledge of health and safety obligations and demonstrated skills in secure operation of equipment relevant to the training and preparation of thoroughbreds
