Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Month-End Processes: Manage the preparation and analysis of financial reports for month-end and year-end. Responsibilities include handling accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, and journals across multiple entities, as well as managing intercompany loans and debtor/creditor balances.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee all aspects of Accounts Receivable from receipting to liaising with contract administrators for aged debtor follow-ups, and manage credit insurance applications and reports.
- Cash Flow and Treasury Management: Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and oversee treasury activities to ensure the company's financial stability.
- Project Profitability Analysis:
Support the preparation and analysis of monthly project profitability reports to influence strategic business decisions for the company.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including BAS and other statutory requirements
- Tax Coordination: Coordinate with the Australian Tax Office (ATO) regarding tax filings and compliance for the company.
- Team Leadership and Supervision: Support the Financial Controller in overseeing and guiding local and offshore payroll and accounts teams in their financial operations.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within a multi-entity business environment. Accounting Firm experience is also highly regarded.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and experienced with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work well within a team.
- Professional certifications such as CA or CPA (completed or in progress) are highly regarded.
