Your new company

My client has a great reputation within the Construction space here in Canberra and they specialise in large commercial projects.

Your new role

- Monthly and annual reporting according to reporting deadlines (including preparation and posting of journals)
- Reconciliations for all general ledger items
- Preparation of BAS, FBT, superannuation, work cover and payroll tax returns and supporting work papers
- Produce management reporting information monthly
- Consolidation, taxation, compliance and audit activities
- Analysis on projects and entities and provide business insights
- Work collaboratively with and support business unit leaders and managers

Requirements

- Degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance
- CA / CPA / CIMA (completed or partially completed)




- A good understanding of the financial compliance around recording activities for commercial entities in respect of GST, FBT and PAYG
- Experience in larger Finance (ERP) systems such as CHEOPS, SAP, Oracle or Finance One
- Advanced level Excel skills
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent numerical ability
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Customer focus and responsiveness
- Project accounting experience
- Previous experience in the construction, property, or retirement industries will be highly regarded.
