In our paid Trainee Station Assistant Program, you'll gain industry skills working alongside experienced professionals to build a long-term career.
You'll complete a nationally recognised qualification while gaining hands-on experience across Melbourne's rail network.
As the face of our stations, you'll play a critical role in creating a safe, welcoming and reliable experience for our customers.
No two days are the same.
From assisting passengers with travel information and making service announcements, to supporting platform operations and managing customer flow during busy periods, you'll be at the heart of Melbourne's rail network.

Important things to know
Our stations operate 24/7, so flexibility is key.
This part-time role offers a guaranteed 50 hours per fortnight on a rotating roster that includes early mornings,
nights, weekends and public holidays.
You'll receive paid training and be supported throughout your traineeship journey.
As part of the recruitment process, you'll need to complete a Category 3 Rail Safety Medical.
Metro will cover the cost.Station allocation will be determined following training and based on operational requirements.
Successful candidates may be assigned to work at any Metro station across our network.To successfully complete the traineeship, annual leave is generally unable to be supported during the first 12 months of employment
Salary, Training & Benefits
