The park offers an enviable lifestyle, with the Wallamba River nearby for water skiing and jet skiing, while Newcastle Airport is approximately 1hr 30 minutes away.With a strong base of loyal guests, high levels of pre-booking and consistently strong customer satisfaction, this is a park that is going from strength to strength.About the RoleWe're looking for an energetic, hands-on Assistant Manager who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys leading people and isn't afraid to get stuck in.This is a significant operational leadership role within a large and successful park.
You'll work closely with the Park Managers to oversee day-to-day operations and play a key role in ensuring the park continues to deliver the exceptional guest experience it is known for.The park comprises 90 cabins, 70 tourist sites, 35 permanent sites and 120 annuals, with a team of approximately 30 across Housekeeping, Grounds & Maintenance and Reception.Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Supporting the Park Managers with the overall day-to-day operation of the parkTaking responsibility for park operations in the Manager's absenceLeading and supporting teams across Housekeeping, Grounds & Maintenance and ReceptionManaging guest check-ins, reservations,



accounts and overall guest experienceResponding to after-hours requirements and operational calloutsDriving exceptional customer service and maintaining the park's strong reputationSupporting budgeting, P&L; management and revenue optimisationUsing business intelligence and reporting tools to understand performance and identify opportunitiesCoaching, developing and motivating team membersSupporting recruitment, onboarding and ongoing trainingWorking collaboratively across departments to ensure the park operates smoothlyContributing to initiatives that drive guest loyalty, repeat visitation and revenueAbout YouWe're not looking for someone who simply wants to manage from behind a desk.We're looking for a confident, capable and personable leader who enjoys being visible, getting involved and leading by example, who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves, support the team and do what it takes to deliver a great outcome for guests and the business.To be successful, you'll bring:Proven experience in hospitality, tourism, accommodation or holiday park managementStrong people leadership skills and a genuine interest in developing othersThe confidence and capability to lead park operations in the Manager's absenceStrong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple prioritiesA flexible, adaptable and solutions-focused approachSound financial understanding, including P&L; and budget managementStrong computer literacy, including confidence with spreadsheets,



reporting and business intelligence tools such as Power BIExperience with RMS or similar reservations/property management systemsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA strong customer-centric mindsetA willingness to be hands-on and work alongside your teamFlexibility to work weekends and after-hours when requiredMost importantly, you'll bring personality.
