Quality Assurance Engineer / Software TesterCareerhub Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer / Software Tester for an immediate start.About the roleThe Quality Assurance Engineer / Software Tester will be responsible for ensuring quality outcomes across assigned products through systematic testing, process improvement, and collaborative teamwork.
This is a full time ongoing position working 38 hours per week based in Brisbane, Queensland.Key responsibilitiesGarner and maintain system expertise for assigned productsUnderstand strategic objective of desired short- and long-term system features and changesParticipate in agile scrum processes with effective communication in verbal and written formsDevelop, execute and track test items to ensure successful feature development outcomesMaintain detailed and accurate issue tracking processesMaintain and coordinate test scripts for assigned productsAdopt automated testing tools and develop automated software testsWork collaboratively with product, design, development,
and QA teams to ensure quality client outcomesIdentify and champion process improvement ideas and systems enhancements to increase overall system qualityDevelop user training and communication materials for product releasesAbout youBachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in IT/Computer Science with at least 1 year of relevant work experience (or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree)Demonstrated experience working with large scale projectsBasic Agile software development process understandingMeticulous attention to detail with the ability to juggle many tasks in parallel without lowering the quality barStrong professional communication skills with the ability to partner with internal and external team members effectivelyComfort working with a range of productivity and work-flow management tools (e.g., SmartSheet, Pivotal Tracker, Excel, and Word)Experience with programming and scripting a plusExperience with test automation a plus
