This is an in-office role, working five (5) days at the Headoffice based at Rydalmere.We are looking for a Procurement & Planning Officer to join our Planning & Purchasing team, based at our Rydalmere site and reporting to the Procurement Manager.
In this role you will work closely with our manufacturing plant in Malaysia and a network of external vendors to make sure the right inventory lands at the right cost, quality and time.Our Planning & Purchasing team sits at the centre of the business, partnering with State Managers across both Waterco and Davey to order, stock and ship in line with seasonal and sales patterns.
Get it right and the whole network runs smoothly through peak season.This is a role with genuine breadth.
Alongside day-to-day planning and transactional purchasing, you will manage supplier relationships, partner with internal stakeholders on sourcing solutions, and keep improving the way we buy.What you will be doingProcurement operationsRaise and manage purchase orders, expedite deliveries, track backorders and maintain accurate records in our ERP systemBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships that deliver reliable supply and competitive pricingNegotiate contracts, pricing and terms as appropriateStakeholder collaborationPartner with internal teams to understand requirements and develop effective sourcing strategiesInventory and systemsUse MRP/ERP systems (Epicor) to monitor stock, plan replenishment and maintain data integrityIdentify opportunities to optimise systems and processesCompliance and governanceWork within company procurement policies,



contract obligations and regulatory standardsContinuous improvement and projectsContribute to improvements in procurement practice, supplier performance and cost managementMake use of digital and AI tools to streamline reporting, analysis and routine purchasing tasksSupport broader operational and project initiatives beyond standard purchasing activitiesWhat you will bringDemonstrated experience in a procurement, purchasing or supply chain role, ideally within manufacturing, distribution or wholesaleHands-on experience with an ERP or MRP system (Epicor highly regarded)Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skillsConfident communicator who can partner effectively with operations, sales, finance and warehouse teamsExcellent attention to detail with the ability to manage competing prioritiesSound Excel skills and comfort working with dataConfident using AI tools (such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT) to work smarter, or a genuine willingness to learn - we actively support the responsible use of AI in day-to-day workA continuous improvement mindset and willingness to get involved beyond the job descriptionTertiary qualifications or industry certification in procurement, supply chain or business (desirable)Permanent, full-time role with a secure and growing businessBroad scope and direct exposure to leadership - your ideas will be heardSupportive team environment with genuine development opportunitiesRydalmere location with free on-site parking, close to the M4 and public transportCompetitive salary package plus superannuationYou must have full working rights in Australia to be considered for this position.
