Yandoo Equestrian Services is seeking an experienced and passionate Horse Trainer Manager to join our professional equestrian team.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone with extensive horse knowledge, strong stable management experience, and the ability to oversee both horse care and staff operations in a busy performance stable environment.The successful applicant will play a vital role in managing the daily operations of the reliable, maintaining horse health and welfare, coordinating staff, and training horses across multiple disciplines including Hunter, Equitation, and Showjumping.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of the stableSupervise and support stable staffManage RosteringAssist with hiring and training of employeesDevelop and enforce feeding, cleaning, and exercise schedulesMonitor horse health and coordinate veterinary and farrier visitsAdminister prescribed medications and treatmentsManage feed, supplements, equipment, and inventoryEnsure stables, yards, and equipment are maintained to a high standardPrepare horses, gear,



and supplies for competitions and showsTrain horses according to individual programs and disciplinesWork closely with competition riders on horse developmentMaintain accurate horse records and care documentationSafely handle and manage stallions in both training and stable environmentsRide and school horses with a high standard of flatworkAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:Extensive horse handling and training experienceDemonstrated experience handling stallions is essentialGrooming experience at FEI 3 level or above preferredStrong leadership and organizational skillsExcellent understanding of horse health, nutrition, and stable managementExperience managing staff within a stable environmentAbility to multitask and work in a fast-paced settingHigh attention to detail and strong communication skillsA proactive and adaptable attitudeA current HR licence or articulated vehicle licence is essential, experience transporting horses on interstate trips or equivalent.
