(Remuneration stated is for the full-time positions)Work type: Temporary Full-time, 12 months with possible extensionsLocation: WacolFleet Solutions branch provide full lifecycle management of the fleet assets deployed across Council to support the delivery of services to the City of Brisbane.We repair and maintain a large range of assets including but not limited to cars, trucks, trailers, mobile lunchrooms, boats, excavators, road sweepers, forklifts, buggy's, pumps, generators, chainsaws, blowers, whipper snippers and mowers.Looking for variety in your four day work week?
The purpose of this role is to undertake the repair, maintenance and servicing of vehicles, plant and equipment to meet customer needs, optimise fleet utilisation and provide cost effective quality of work.We are looking for an experienced Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic or similar who has the flexibility and capability to work on a range of fleet from heavy to light commercial vehicles and small engine equipment.This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a professional team; in a safe and secure setting; and build your mechanical skills on a diverse range of mechanical equipment across various Council locations.
Opportunities for overtime and additional benefits available.In this role you will:undertake repair, maintenance and servicing of vehicles, plant, and equipmentwork safely, apply WHS practices and Council's Zero Harm policiesassist in the technical training of apprentices, including effective WHS proceduresbe a good team member able to effectively communicate with the team, team leader, customers and stakeholdersperform non-trade tasks incidental to work including input of information on computers and tablets.To be successful you will have:demonstrated work experience in light and heavy commercial vehicles, and various small engine plant and equipmentability to work autonomously and in a team environmentsound interpersonal, oral,
