Paper Republic, a leading Australian retail brand for stationery, cards and gifts is seeking a dedicated Retail Manager to lead and manage our Melbourne CBD store.
A full time, 5 days per week role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, driving sales and profitability, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic retail organisation that values innovation, sustainability, and exceptional customer service.What you'll be doingOverall responsibility for the day-to-day operations of our beautiful and very busy Royal Arcade store including staffing, inventory management, supplier liaison and sales and revenue reportingLead, motivate, and develop a high-performing retail team, providing coaching, training, and performance managementDevelop and implement effective stock control, visual merchandising, and promotional strategies to drive sales and customer engagementContinuously monitor and analyze store performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing data-driven strategiesEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulationsMaintain a positive, customer-centric culture and provide exceptional customer serviceCollaborate with key suppliers to optimize budgeted buying patterns and introduce exciting new product to support the overall success of the store.What we're looking for1.
Minimum 2+ years experience in a dynamic store management/supervisor role, preferably within the retail and consumer products industry2.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team3.




Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills4.
Proficient in data analysis and financial management, with the ability to drive sales and profitability5.
Hands-on experience in inventory management systems, merchandising, and visual merchandising6.
Sound knowledge of retail operations, including point-of-sale systems, cash handling, and loss prevention7.
Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities8.
