Essential Flavours are seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to support the business with GMP compliance with SQF, ISO, FSANZ, and other relevant standards by leading quality assurance and food safety systems.
The Quality Assurance Officer will support internal and external audits, enhance product integrity, and collaborate with teams to uphold quality standards.Key responsibilitiesEnsure compliance of the Quality Management and food safety systems to the highest standardEnsure all documentation and records are being maintainedWork collaboratively with the operations and production team by providing support and assistanceActively participate in continuous improvement, delivering to the requirements outlined in the methodology and strengthening Quality and Food Safety SystemsEnsure the use and success of structured root cause analysis after incidents relating to product quality, or the quality systems, have occurred.
Put in place preventative measures to avoid the recurrence of defectsBe responsible for the calibration and monitoring of on-line and off-line monitoring instruments used for measurement of quality parameters across the siteCoordinate customer complaint investigations, working with cross-functional teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions and monitor outcomesPlan, conduct and report internal audits against SQF, GMP, HACCP and internal quality standardsSupport certification, customer and regulatory audits, including preparation, execution and close-out activitiesDeliver and support training programs relating to GMP, HACCP, food safety, quality systems and compliance requirementsAbout youA minimum of 5 years of successful experience in a quality-related rolePrior experience working with SQF,
FSANZ (Food Standards Australia New Zealand) standardsIn-depth knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Food Safety Programs, and internal auditingExperience in developing and implementing Corrective Action Plans (CAPs)Expertise in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for effective problem resolutionOutstanding organizational and planning skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlinesStrong problem-solving abilities, excellent time management, organizational skills, and exceptional attention to detailA comprehensive understanding of relevant standards, Codes of Practice, and statutory and legal requirementsExperience in planning, executing, conducting, and closing out audits, including managing non-conformancesStrong understanding of Australian Food Safety LegislationFree local gym membershipFantastic & supportive company cultureEAP ProgramAmazing Christmas party, team BBQsAbout usWe are an Australian-owned flavour house, with operations in both Australia and Vietnam.
