As a Community Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in empowering people living with mental illness through psychosocial rehabilitation via our residential recovery and outreach programs in Coffs Harbour and Grafton.ABOUT USGROW is a national community-driven organisation specialising in mental health peer-to-peer support developed from the lived experience of recovery.

GROW offers the opportunity for people to share challenges and solutions for recovery in a supportive and structured way within the context of a caring, sharing community.ABOUT THE ROLEThe positions involve working with individuals who have mental health conditions.
The role is to support and inspire persons in recovery.
You will be responsible for the delivery of the day-to-day structure including group facilitation, resident management, and service delivery.We are seeking people for a casual position,



and shifts include day shifts and sleepover shifts, as well as weekend work.
This role is paid at SCHADS Level 2.1 and offer excellent penalty rates given the time shiftsABOUT YOUThe successful candidate will have experience in the community services and at minimum hold a Cert IV in mental health or other in relevant industry Qualification and/or significant relevant experienceThe ability to work effectively with people and to promote positive attributes and work towards plan changeFlexibility, resilience and the ability to maintain best practice under challenging circumstancesThe ability to work effectively to achieve programmed goals and objectivesCurrent first aid certificateAbility to work nights and weekendsCurrent Driver's LicenceCurrent Working with Children Check (NSW)NDIS Worker Screening ClearanceAbility to work independently and effectively manage time.Demonstrated understanding of a person-centred approach.Ability to follow established support work practices.Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to connect with clients.Ability to follow individual support plans.
