Join a leading firm in the accounting and business services industry, renowned for its expertise in delivering comprehensive financial solutions to a diverse portfolio of domestic and international clients. This role, based in Sydney, offers a hybrid work environment with 3 days working from home and 2 days onsite. As an Assistant Manager, Business Services, you will be instrumental in managing and optimizing financial and business support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Lead and manage the Business Services team, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients.
- Financial Preparation: Prepare financial accounts, tax returns, and related documentation for a variety of entities, including companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals.
- Tax Compliance: Prioritize, delegate, and review tax compliance assignments, such as annual financial statements, tax returns, and activity statements.
- Tax Issues Management: Apply your knowledge of common tax issues, including PSI, Div 7A, and CGT.
- Client Liaison: Act as a primary contact for liaising with the ATO on various matters.
- Team Development: Mentor and coach junior team members to support their professional growth.
- International Client Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with both Australian and international clients.
- Data Entry/Bookkeeping: Support the Management Accountant with data entry and bookkeeping tasks for local and international clients.
- FBT and ESS: Experience with FBT and ESS is desirable.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience:
Minimum 5 to 6 years of post-graduate experience as a Business Services Accountant, with at least 3 years managing international client relationships.
- Skills: Exceptional accuracy, attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective time management. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with APS, Handi Soft, ATO Portal, Class Super, and XERO.
- Qualifications: CA or CPA qualified.
