This is a rare and exciting opportunity for an individual that is looking to make their first or second move from practice in to a commercially focused finance finance role.
The Finance Analyst will provide financial planning, analysis, and forecasting support to help the company achieve its financial goals. The role involves collecting, analysing, and interpreting financial data to assist in decision-making, budgeting, and strategic planning. The Finance Analyst will also monitor performance, identify trends, and deliver actionable insights to drive business improvements.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyse financial data and create financial models to support decision-making processes.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including variance analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts.
- Identify financial trends and provide insights on areas for cost reduction, revenue optimisation, and process improvements.
- Support month-end and year-end financial close processes,
including reconciliations and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance on projects and initiatives.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested by management.
Key selection criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2-4 years) in a Big 4 or Mid-Tier accounting firm.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with financial software systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment.
