The Opportunity
EBM are seeking an experienced and motivated Accountant for a role in their dedicated and energetic Finance team. Reporting to the Group Accountant, you'll:

- Direct the day-to-day activities of the finance team
- Provide oversight and support to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions including Settlements, Banking and Credit Control
- Provide leadership and coaching for the finance team members
- Lead month-end processes, ensuring accuracy of financial reporting
- Review and post general ledger transactions and ensure the integrity and accuracy
- Assist with preparing financial reports, P&L;, balance sheets, and management reports
- Assist with cash management and monitor cash flow actual verses forecast
- Analyse financial data
- Manage the year-end audit process

About You
While insurance or financial services experience would be an advantage, more important will be your desire to grow your career in a people focused service industry. As an enthusiastic team player who understands the power of exceptional client service, you’ll:

- Offer experience leading people within a finance function.
- Be qualified by experience or you may have a degree in accounting
- Show that you are able to inspire a team to succeed in a fast-paced environment.
- Have hands-on experience in accounts payable and receivable, electronic banking and audit compliance.
- Be conversant with ERP accounting systems generally and have a solid level of competency with Excel




- Use your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to think critically and make informed decisions.
- Possess great communication skills with the ability to write well-constructed reports.
- Demonstrate capable interpersonal skills which you'll use to build relationships and work collaboratively with cross functional teams, senior executives and external stakeholders
- Have shown a proven ability to work efficiently and autonomously.
