Financial Accountant | Permanent Role | $70-100K + Super

Our client is dedicated to driving innovation and sustainability within the industry and is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a permanent, full time chance for an individual eager to contribute to a forward-thinking company making a real difference in the energy landscape.

About the Role:
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights that contribute to the company’s growth and sustainability goals. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in the monthly reporting process and support the organisation in maintaining its strong financial position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Month-End and Year-End Processes: Oversee the preparation and processing of journals, manage the fixed assets register, and ensure timely completion of financial reports.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Conduct thorough reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- General Ledger Integrity: Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate coding across departments.
- Compliance & Reporting: Prepare and lodge BAS, FBT, and other regulatory returns, ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws.
- Process Improvement:



Continuously improve financial processes, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency.
- Audit Support: Provide support during audits by collaborating with external auditors and preparing necessary documentation.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with internal teams and external partners to resolve financial queries and provide insightful reporting.

Skills & Experience:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in financial accounting and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards (AASB) and tax regulations.
- Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics or SAP is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA or CA qualified, or working towards qualification.
