Job Description

The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Financial Accountant to join our team. This role calls for someone with strong assets experience, a positive disposition and exceptional business acumen. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the financial accounting, control, statutory and regulatory reporting is completed accurately and on time.

A day on the job will see you:

- Lead month end processes to ensure internal and external reporting deadlines are met
- Preparation of month end postings and accruals
- Ensure timely, meaningful,



and accurate preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Responsible for the maintenance and optimisation of the Fixed Asset Register and related processes
- Maintain the accuracy of leasing data contained within Nomos One leasing software
- Prepare and lodge monthly BAS and Payroll Tax statements and annual FBT returns
- Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and notes to the financial statements
- Coordinate with external auditors to manage interim and year-end audit deliverables
- Ensure the reporting and general ledger integrity of the Technology One finance system

Qualifications

About You

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline
- Well-developed, broad experience with business and accounting systems in a large ERP environment.
- Experience with Technology One finance systems would be highly regarded
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge/experience in Government Accounting and Treasury Instructions
- Ability to identify improvement opportunities and support change initiatives
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise and control workload
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to establish business relationships with internal and external customers.
- Demonstrated problem solving and time management skills.
