Working as a Financial Accountant for a leading FMCG organisation based in a central Hobart location.
Your new company
Hays are working with a leading FMCG organisation in their search for a Financial Accountant to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. A leader within their field, they have operations right across the country, and are unique and diverse business that are well known within the community.
Your new role
Based in a central Hobart location, and Reporting into the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for the preparation of monthly accounting reports as well as completion of balance sheet reconciliations. You'll work with the accounting team to assist with the completion of statutory reporting including but not limited to the monthly BAS, annual FBT return, income tax provision and income tax return in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
You'll also maintain effective stakeholder relationship across the broader business and enjoy challenging the way things have historically been done.
What you'll need to succeed
CA/CPA qualified or progressing towards, you'll be outcome focused and have the proven ability to consistently meet tight deadlines. You'll have well developed communication skills, exceptional attention to detail and an analytical mindset which lends itself to problem solving. A high-level proficiency in excel is also essential, and you'll enjoy problem solving with key stakeholders right across the organisation.
You'll also be prepared to under national police check prior to commencement.
