The Organisation
Our client is a leading fund and investment manager that specialises in agriculture and natural capital and has built a portfolio of assets in excess of $12B, primarily in Australia and New Zealand. They manage broad-acre crops and grazing land as well as sustainable timber plantations, conservation areas, carbon finance projects and infrastructure.

The Position
This newly created position operates across all agri-related investments as well as playing a key role in the development and build out of new products and portfolios.

Key responsibilities include:

- Financial modelling for acquisitions or dispositions of fund assets.
- Leading and contributing to analytics on investment such as model development & review, and contribution to Investment Committee papers.
- Fund and operational modelling and analysis to optimise performance.
- Periodic asset and Fund reporting, analysis and benchmarking.
- Developing indicative fund models to support fundraising.
- Provide ongoing analytics support to the fund-raising process.
- Coordinating carbon reporting and analytics with Asset and Property Managers.

The Requirements




This is a broad role that requires a solid analytical mindset and an understanding of Australian agriculture. Experience working in natural capital assets (ie. Agriculture or forestry) is highly regarded.

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in an analytical function is essential.
- Tertiary qualifications in financial modelling and or commerce (or related discipline), or equivalent qualifications and relevant experience.
- Strong analytical ability, with demonstrated experience in fund modelling and operational financial data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build strong relationships and work within a team environment.
- A personal interest in sustainable agriculture, and the role agriculture plays in the broader sustainability solution.
- Ability to travel, as required.
