The Head of Finance will work closely with the Director of Business by providing financial stewardship as a key member of the school’s corporate team. The Head of Finance plays a pivotal role in ensuring Shore can continue to educate and shape students who will make a meaningful impact in their communities.

The Head of Finance is responsible for the following:

- Preparing annual budgets and record-keeping
- Forecasting and managing the schools cash flow
- Maintaining long term financial plans in line with the School’s strategic plans
- Working with budget holders to improve their finance and business outcomes
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax and other reporting obligations
- Managing and maintaining the annual financial and internal audit programs
- Lead and develop a service-oriented finance team

Key Selection Criteria:

- Qualified accounting qualification + relevant Bachelor’s degree
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- 5+ years’ experience leading a finance team, education experience is highly regarded however not essential
- Commercially astute and strategic in your thinking & planning




- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
