What skills and experience will you bring to this role?

- Payroll processing understanding and strong systems implementation experience.

Reporting into National Payroll Manager & Payroll Transformation Project Lead, you will be responsible for playing a pivotal business role in delivering fit for purpose systems and technical solutions for the organisation.

In this newly created position, you will be responsible for:

- Manage projects for necessary requirements and improvements to the payroll system
- Administration and effective operation of the payroll application and supporting processes
- Accurate and timely auditing/reporting of various payroll activities
- Understand and deliver to the client plan




- From a systems admin, you will work with Frontier Software and payroll systems leadership to configure and implement the system
- Document processes and maintain configuration in a central Configuration Blueprint
- Active participation the in the Payroll/HR Implementation project, including requirements gathering, data analysis and manipulation, data migration, testing and go-live support and change management
- Be the Payroll SME with a solid understanding of Payroll Operations, processes and system configuration
- Ensure data and systems are operating to enable Payroll operations to complete payroll activities on time and accurately
- Educate, encourage and coach others in the team particularly around the technical aspects and continuous opportunities benefits
- Fabulous sense of humour & fun attitude - A MUST!!!

Key Skills (once trained)

We are seeking experienced payroll professionals with a passion for systems and driving process improvement. Key competencies listed below:

- Extensive payroll technical experience (examples include systems admin, system implementations, BA, Senior payroll leaders with a flair for systems etc
- Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and how it applies to systems
- Understanding of key risks in payroll systems and common points of failure
- Proven experience coordinating, testing and implementing system upgrades and enhancements within Payroll and HRIS
- Exceptional analytical and technical capabilities
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving




- Ability to complete thorough and considered investigations
- Project experience particularly as a technical and/or payroll SME
- chris21/ichris experience - A MUST!!
- Advanced Microsoft excel skills (fluent in VLOOKUP, PIVOT tables. Macro programming an advantage)
