We have an exciting opening for a Management Accountant to join our team at MS Queensland. This dynamic full time permanent role will work collaboratively across the organisation, the purpose of this role is to partner with managers and executives to deliver timely, accurate reporting and business analysis for key decision making.

Reporting to the GM, Finance and Assets, the Management Accountant will have 3 direct reports, the Assistant Accountant, Accounts Receivable Officer, and Accounts Payable Officer, providing oversight and guidance on functional activities.

Additionally, you will:

- Prepare monthly financial results, variance analysis and commentary
- Deliver timely and accurate reports to the Executive Leadership Team
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports to the Board and Board committees
- Assist in the preparation on annual budget and forecasts
- Day to day responsibility for Cashflow Management including preparation of rolling cashflow forecasts and analysis
- Provide financial support and analysis to the Executive leadership team on contracts, business cases and investment decisions




- Financial administration and acquittal of government and other grant funding activities

About you:

- Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Current qualified CPA or CA qualification
- Strong, demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Demonstrated ability to manage small teams effectively to achieve team goals
- Strong computer software skills, particularly in use of Microsoft Office applications
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role for a medium-sized organisation
