Payroll Specialist/Test Lead - Healthcare
(For profit Home Care – Aged Care and Disability Services)

Our client is a fast-growing and industry-leading Home Care provider, delivering Aged Care and Disability Services.

They are implementing a business transformation program based on a new Healthcare & Workforce Management Solution.

An opportunity exists for an experienced workforce management / payroll specialist to join the organisation and play a critical role managing and executing system testing.

You will be a key link between operations, HR, and the business applications team, and actively manage software vendors’ releases into the environment, to minimise business disruption.

To be successful in this role you must show:

- Knowledge of Home Care operations in aged care or NDIS (preferably both).
- Experience with industrial instruments in the Australian Care Sector – awards, operational rostering rules and payroll.
- Award Interpretation experience gained from a role in operational roster administration or payroll, or testing thereof. You know the SCHADS and the Nurses Awards.
- Stakeholder management skills, including vendor management. You are adaptable and have a growth mindset.
- Ability to interact with diverse stakeholders and convey testing outcomes in “plain English”.
- Diligence, attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving abilities, including root cause analysis.
- You must be an Australian Citizen and Reside in Australia.

Responsibilities include:

- Develop and document test plans with our business and technology teams, to ensure repeatable and easily reported test processes are embedded, and environment control and stability maintained.
- Contribute to troubleshooting and conduct root cause analysis where issues arise
- Document lessons learned and contribute to change control and related communications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure prompt delivery of test activities within the constraints communicated to you.
- Actively manage environment and process risks and opportunities in recent software features, before using them.
- Impact assessment and testing of requests for change, recommend risk mitigation strategies to management.
- Outside of core test lead duties, you will support continuous improvement of the way operational teams use the software solutions and may be needed on occasion to support other corporate teams or projects.
