We are experiencing exceptional growth and our 2023 plans are MASSIVE. We currently require an experienced Quantity Surveyor. This role is a full time, permanent position based in Western Australia.
Scope of works:
This role of is responsible conducting land surveys and performing mathematical calculations with a high level of accuracy. This role will undertake detailed research that involves examining historical property records and maps to determine the legal boundaries of a section of land or property.
The duties of this role includes:
- Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors to prepare tender and contract documents, attend tender queries and contract finalisation of subcontract works.
- Identifying and facilitating current business opportunities
- Master-plan and feasibility budgets
- Cost checking of developing design
- Value engineering
- Tender evaluations and analysis
- Contract negotiations,
changes and review of contract conditions
- Cash flow projects
- Procurement
- Cost reporting
- Evaluation of variations
- Valuations
- Final account reporting
- Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims and payments
- Investment analysis
- Commercial meetings
- Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plan
To be considered you must have / be willing to obtain:
- Proven work experience under a licensed Professional Surveyor (P.S.).
- Bachelor's degree in surveying, geomatics, geospatial sciences, geophysics, or a related field.
- Valid licenses.
- Experience using hand surveying tools (distance measuring wheels, plumb bobs, levels) and electronic surveying tools (transit levels, GPS equipment and total station).
- Working knowledge of software such as AutoCAD and GIS programs.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
