Our client, an award winning global media agency, has an opening for a Revenue Accountant to join their growing Sydney office.

Reporting to the Commercial / Financer Director you will be the go-to person for all things revenue related, collaborating with the business and commercial teams across multiple agencies. You will be the expert on company policies and SOX framework as well as chief investigator for all billings and invoice related queries.

Key Responsibilities

- Adherence to revenue recognition in accordance with agency policy, SOX policy and client contracts, including actioning accruals and deferrals.
- Accurate and timely processing of all invoices including intercompany and client invoices.
- Liaise with accounts receivables and media reconcilers to resolve any debtor queries.
- Adhere to intercompany deadlines and ensure intercompany billings are closely monitored through communication to local and overseas counterparties.
- Manage all supporting documentation and ensure that invoices are raised with appropriate approval.




- Ensure all jobs are up-to-date and reconciled on a timely basis in accordance with group policies.
- Ensure all prebills are reconciled and invoices are correctly offset against prebills where relevant (no overdue invoices due to prebills).
- Assist and maintain revenue trackers and month end revenue calculations.
- Assist and maintain WIP jobs
- Working with master data management team in managing client and supplier setups and amendments.
- Meet with leads from Special Business Units to discuss and agree monthly job reviews and revenue take-ups.
- Providing assistance during internal and external client audits.
- Coordinate and finalise all necessary month end reports i.e. Credit Note Summary, Invoice Summary.
- Coordinate and follow up on invoices in the event of invoice dispute.

Characteristics And Technical Skills

- 2+ years’ related experience, preferably in the digital or media industry
- Highly numerate and organised, with an ability to demonstrate adherence to processes, as well as outstanding attention to detail.
- Approachable and confident approaching others.
- Ability to work independently as a committed member of the finance team.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Is a master of Microsoft Excel
